Due to a recent FCC License auction several wireless microphone systems may stop working and or experience interference.  You could also be in violation of the law.

The FCC recently auctioned off 84 MHz of the UHF spectrum.  70 MHz of this spectrum will be moved to the mobile broadband services.  Another 14 MHz for wireless microphones and unlicensed use were part of that auction.

Customers that own a wireless microphone system that operates in the 617-652 MHz and 663-698 MHz range it will be your responsibility not to interfere with devices operating in this frequency range once the transition is complete.

In response to this auction several wireless microphone manufacturers have announced they are offering rebate program for the trade in of eligible models of wireless microphones and personal monitor systems towards the purchase of a new replacement.  These rebate offers start expiring April 30, 2018.
