The Lead Security Technician will act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for
program and installation of Security Systems (Card Access, CCTV (Closed Circuit
Television), CATV and Intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and
engineered drawings.

High school diploma or GED

Candidates must be able to pass a background check and/or have the ability to get a
government issued clearance.

Must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security systems installation.

Installs, tests, maintains, and upgrades electronic security systems, access control devices, and
CCTV systems, to include both equipment and infrastructure.

Maintains an awareness and understanding of the most current installation, testing, and
termination procedures for various components of electronic security systems, access
control devices, and CCTV systems.

Install and terminate low voltage cable (Cat5, Cat6, RG6 etc.)

Proficient in proper installation of structured cable systems devices including conduit,
cable trays, racks, patch panels, cable management systems, outlets, jacks, and cable
support systems.

Working knowledge of fiber optic and copper cable terms and concepts.

Performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge of
card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems; troubleshoot and resolve technical
issues as they arise.

Travel to customer sites within the Washington Metropolitan Area and work overtime as
necessary.

The employee is frequently required to walk and climb or balance and access
construction projects where uneven and cluttered conditions may exist.

Ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety
requirements while maintaining the efficiency of the staff assigned to the project.

Must be able to read and understand plans to ensure everything is done correctly and
then do any additional configuration that is required.

Develop and maintain red-lined as-built annotations to project drawings.

Assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality
guidelines.

Initiate performance related communications and escalate to Project Manager if
necessary.

Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop, and
implement project process improvement.

Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer
representative(s).

Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to
effectively read.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or
move up to 100 pounds.
